Invoicing redesigned around AI: type a sentence, snap a receipt, ask a question. Built for Israeli businesses.
What happens the moment you press Issue in Slate?
The document is signed digitally on the server, so there is no smart card to plug in and no software to install. It takes the next number in your sequence, and that number is locked: it can't be edited or reused later. A request for an allocation number goes out to the Israel Tax Authority automatically. The document is ready to send.
Getting to that button is the part AI changed. You can write the document as a sentence, like "invoice Dana 3,000 for the logo project", and Slate fills in the client, the amount and the VAT. A photo of a receipt becomes an expense with vendor, date and total. A question such as "what do I owe in VAT this quarter?" gets a number back. The AI drafts and you approve: nothing is saved or sent without your click.
Around that core sit the tools a business uses every week: VAT, profit and loss and aging reports, several businesses under one login, any currency, and imports from Excel, CSV or the official uniform structure format.
The interface is built to stay out of the way: a calm dashboard, dark mode, accessibility controls, full Hebrew and English with right-to-left switching, and a web app that installs to your phone's home screen.

Quick Smart AI Notes, Tasks & Smart Reminders
I'm building contractor paperwork software, so the locked document number caught my attention. What happens if the tax authority request times out after the number is reserved? It would be useful to show a clear pending/retry state without risking a second invoice when someone taps Issue again on a weak mobile connection.
